France, Greece order health workers to be vaccinated

The Hill

Officials in France and Greece have announced plans to require that health workers be vaccinated, as the infectious COVID-19 delta variant continues to cause case surges throughout the world.

French Health Minister Olivier Véran on Monday said health workers in the country will be suspended without pay if they have not completed their vaccination series by Sept. 15, according to The Washington Post.

He said more than half of the new infections in the country are from the delta variant, according to the Post.

Lawmakers eye special session on mandatory COVID-19 vaccines

AP

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Republican state senators plan to meet this week to discuss the possibility of a special session after three large health care providers announced policies requiring employees to get COVID-19 vaccinations, the top Senate Republican said Monday.

Senate Pro Tempore Chuck Winder said Republican senators will meet online Friday morning amid growing calls for a special session on employers requiring coronavirus vaccines.

Winder said he hopes to “find out where everyone is at and what their level of interest is in coming back. At this stage, I don’t really have a good feeling on it. I want to make sure we don’t take away from the contract rights of health care providers. There are always two sides to every story.”

The House never fully adjourned earlier this year under a plan to allow Republican House Speaker Scott Bedke to simply call lawmakers back to the Statehouse in Boise without needing Republican Gov. Brad Little’s OK.

Why Facebook really, really doesn’t want to discourage extremism

Washington Post

Last year, the Wall Street Journal reported Facebook executives allegedly shut down internal research showing the platform increased political polarization and declined to make changes that might make the platform less divisive.

Why might Facebook be reluctant to reduce polarization on its platform? Our study, recently published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, might offer an answer.

Polarizing posts are more likely to go viral

We analyzed nearly 3 million U.S.-based tweets and Facebook posts to examine what social media posts that go “viral” have in common. We specifically looked at political posts, including those by members of Congress or left- and right-leaning media outlets. The results were stark.

“I went to pick up my daughter from camp. And it was the hottest day of the year, 98 degrees. When I went to pick her up, she looked sick. And I asked her when she got in the car if she had to keep her mask on outside for three hours of tennis and she said yes,” Ashley McGuire told “Fox & Friends.”

Students Suing Indiana University Over Vaccine Mandate Appear In Federal Court Tuesday

Indiana Public Media

Eight IU students who are suing the university over its COVID-19 vaccine mandate will be in federal court tomorrow in South Bend.

The group, represented by James Bopp, Jr., is asking a judge to pause the vaccine mandate until the lawsuit ends.

In a press release, Bopp says tomorrow’s arguments are critical to students’ rights to an education “free from unnecessary restrictions, and the right to consent to medical treatment.”

He adds that a vaccine mandate is “unreasonable, even irrational, and way out of the mainstream,” as most places begin to lift COVID-19 restrictions.

Some States Move to Block COVID Vaccine Requirements in Public Schools

CNN

As the return to school approaches, some states are prohibiting public schools from requiring Covid-19 vaccinations or proof of vaccination for students ranging from pre-K to university.A CNN analysis has found that at least seven states — Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Montana, Oklahoma and Utah — have enacted legislation this year that would restrict public schools from requiring either coronavirus vaccinations or documentation of vaccination status.

As of June 22, at least 34 states had introduced bills that would limit requiring someone to demonstrate their vaccination status or immunity against Covid-19, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures, which has been tracking legislation related to coronavirus vaccines. At least 13 states — Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Utah — have passed them into law, according to the document, and at least six of those include language pertaining specifically to schools or education.

CNBC reported:

White House chief medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci fully expects the coronavirus vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson will receive full approval from U.S. drug regulators, he told CNBC on Tuesday.

J&J, Astrazeneca Explore COVID Vaccine Modification in Response to Rare Blood Clots

Wall Street Journal reported:

Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca PLC and the University of Oxford, along with outside scientists, are conducting early-stage research into whether potential modifications of their COVID-19 vaccines could reduce or eliminate the risk of rare but serious blood clots associated with the shots, according to people close to the process.

Fast-developing clues into how the clots form — driven in part by independent scientists in Europe, the U.S. and Canada — are boosting hopes of identifying the cause and possibly re-engineering AstraZeneca’s shot by next year, according to some of these people. It is too early to know whether either shot can be modified, or whether doing so would make commercial sense, these people say.

Twitter agrees to censor for India

Reclaim the Net

Twitter has started taking steps to fully comply with new internet rules now being enforced in India, despite the fact that those are criticized as detrimental to free expression and people’s privacy.

Twitter has thus become the last of major western social media companies to give in under pressure from India’s government, who announced the Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code back in February. Facebook, (including WhatsApp, its messaging app widely used in India) and Google have already done it.

Trust in US mainstream media hits rock bottom

Reclaim the Net

The latest Digital News Report, compiled by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, has found that trust in the news industry in the US is now at the lowest point, measured against results globally.

And while the study that covered 46 news markets around the world found that “trust in most news most of the time,” as the question was formulated, was up six percent with the pandemic, returning to the 2018 level – in the US, this number is only 29% (against the global average of 44%, and Finland, where trust in the industry is the highest, 65%.)

On the other hand, 44% of respondents in the US strongly disagreed that “most news can be trusted most of the time,” leaving 27% unable to decide either way.

Video producer Matt Orfalea censored again for calling out YouTube censorship

Reclaim the Net

After he published a video discussing YouTube’s censorship last month, video producer Matt Orfalea was censored and had his channel demonetized. Now, YouTube has targeted Orfalea once again and removed another video where he and his guest, independent journalist Alison Morrow, called out the tech giant’s censorship.

In the video, which is titled “YouTube BANS Reporter Exposing YouTube HYPOCRISY,” Orfalea and Morrow recapped the escalating YouTube censorship they have both faced.

This censorship began in June when Orfalea’s YouTube channel was suspended for uploading what he described as “unpublished rough cuts” of a video highlighting YouTube’s censorship of ivermectin.

Superhero Vaccine in Development

Mercola

Story at-a-glance

  • A Stanford University geneticist announced work on a “superhero” DNA shot that would use genetic traits from people resilient to disease as a blueprint to repair your cells
  • Clinical trials of a single component are set to start as early as 2026, with a combination “vaccine” available within 15 years; the scientist hopes to use it on adults with serious clinical conditions before releasing it to the general public and children
  • The Human Genome Project discovered chronic diseases are not controlled by a single gene but rather a complex combination of mutations, environmental factors and your gut microbiome
  • COVID-19 and the fear generated by multiple governments may have been the motivational factor that ultimately encouraged people to take a genetic therapy experiment in the COVID vaccine
  • Scientists anticipate the “superhero vaccine” may lower the risk of heart disease by 50%, yet health experts estimate making lifestyle changes could lower the death rate from heart disease by 80%

Doctors Can Vaccinate Kids in DC Without Parental Knowledge

Mercola

Story at-a-glance

  • The Council of the District of Columbia disempowered parents by enacting a law that made it illegal for a doctor, insurance company or school administrator to divulge a child’s vaccination history in records that can be seen by the child’s mother or father
  • The law denies basic parental rights to protecting their child from vaccine injuries and to have the tools and knowledge necessary to monitor them for signs of a potentially life-threatening vaccine reaction that requires immediate medical treatment
  • It also violates vaccine safety provisions of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, a federal law that confirmed vaccine injuries and deaths are real and made preventing vaccine reactions a national priority
  • Additionally, it violates informed consent rights of both parents and their child while doctors, other vaccinators and anyone else involved in the vaccine decision have no liability if the child is injured
  • If you want to protect parental and informed consent rights, register for the free online NVIC Advocacy Portal to stay up to date on vaccine laws being proposed in your state

WHO developing “digital wallet” to store vaccination certificates

Natural News

“We have encouraged countries that want to, they may use the international certificate for vaccination and prophylaxis … that requires other countries to recognize that certificate of vaccination”

Dr. Michael Ryan

The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that it is actively working on a new “digital wallet” system where people who agree to get jabbed can store their Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccine” certificates.

Dr. Michael Ryan, an Irish epidemiologist who is heading up the program, told listeners at a July 12 gathering in Geneva, Switzerland, that countries will soon have the ability to opt in to the international program, which will function in a 1930s “papers, please” format, but this time on a global scale.
